The Statistics Are Staggering.

Last year in the U.S....

Law Enforcement Officers
  • 146 LEO were killed in the line of duty.
  • Even more alarming, 228 took their own lives.
  • That means that 61% of LEO deaths were caused by suicide.  

Firefighters
  • Up to 29% of Firefighters engage in alcohol abuse.
  • As many as 10% abuse prescription drugs.

Paramedics and EMTs
  • Paramedics and EMTs are no exception as 36% of EMS workers suffer from depression.
  • 72% fight sleep deprivation.
  • More than 20% of EMTs battle with PTSD.

 
As a result, First Responders have the highest rate of stress, heart attacks, strokes, and broken homes.

Give financial assistance as approved by the Board of Directors.

~ A Word From Our Founder ~

I want to take this time to ask you to prayerfully consider being a part of this much needed ministry.  In addition to serving as a full-time pastor, I have been blessed with the privilege and honor of serving as a Law Enforcement Chaplain for the past 14 years.  The Lord has given me a heart and passion for First Responders and this has led to the establishment of First Responders Foundation of AL, a non-profit 501(c)(3).

I want to assure you that all donations will be used wisely.  Everyone, including myself, is serving in a volunteer role.  Therefore, with the exception of only a few administrative costs, all monies given will be used to benefit our First Responders who are serving us.

I am excited about the possibilities before us and look forward to seeing where God leads.  I invite you to join us with your prayers and financial support.  Together we can make a difference in the lives of First Responders throughout our great state!
